In May of 2017, Rick launched The Becky Baker Foundation after his wife passed away from Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. Since that time, the BBF has given away over 3,000 screenings to US women who cannot afford the test. No Goodbyes was conceived while I was living in Fallbrook, CA, the same town where the McStay family lived. I was sitting at my favorite coffee shop when I overheard a conversation about a missing family of four, who simply vanished without a trace. I was intrigued by this mystery and decided to investigate the case. Once I announced my intent on my talk radio show, I was given access to information that even law enforcement did not possess and came to the belief that the family had voluntarily left the US and headed to South America. I journeyed to South America, convinced I would locate the family and learn why they had left so suddenly. I followed every verified sighting of the family from Merida, Mexico, to Tamarindo, Costa Rica. I decided to publish my investigation and travels and wrote NO GOOD-BYES, which became an instant best-seller.
