Founder and Executive Director of The Becky Baker Foundation, the nation's largest and highest-rated breast cancer foundation that provides free breast cancer screenings.
In May of 2017, Rick launched The Becky Baker Foundation after his wife passed away from Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. Since that time, the BBF has given away over 3,000 screenings to US women who cannot afford the test. Rick's latest book, The Guy's Guide To Everything Breast Cancer, seeks to educate all men about the evil disease so they are prepared should their loved one ever hear those four terrible words, "You've got breast cancer." Becky's last words to me were, "I'm just sorry that no one will ever remember my name." I promised her that no one would ever forget
her name and launched the foundation that
bears her name today.
No Goodbyes was conceived while I was living in Fallbrook, CA, the same town where the McStay family lived. I was sitting at my favorite coffee shop when I overheard a conversation about a missing family of four, who simply vanished without a trace. I was intrigued by this mystery and decided to investigate the case. Once I announced my intent on my talk radio show, I was given access to information that even law enforcement did not possess and came to the belief that the family had voluntarily left the US and headed to South America. I journeyed to South America, convinced I would locate the family and learn why they had left so suddenly. I followed every verified sighting of the family from Merida, Mexico, to Tamarindo, Costa Rica. I decided to publish my
investigation and travels and wrote NO GOOD-BYES,
which became an instant best-seller.
Last night, 35 million American children went to bed without a goodnight kiss from their dad. Their father doesn't live with them anymore, if he ever did. Their dads may still be engaged in their lives but most likely only see their children a few days a month, if at all. For a number of reasons–some legitimate–the overwhelming majority of the fathers to these millions of kids are no longer practicing fathers but men who have been silenced, fleeced, or damaged by a society that places little value on dads. This is an epidemic that must be stopped. I wrote the best-selling TEARS OF A FATHER to encourage fathers to stay engaged with their children regardless of whether or not their marriage or relationship with their childrens' mother crumbles or ends. Your kids need you, dad. Never give up. With this book, I provide guidance, a roadmap of sorts, encouraging fathers to remain in the lives of their children.
Imagine the shock of spending your whole life on earth believing you were a follower of Jesus Christ, only to be told by Him, "I never knew you. Depart from me, you who practice lawlessness!" Are you saved? Are you sure? Can you prove it? The Bible says you should be either hot or cold, but never lukewarm. Are you sure there isn't a sin you're practicing in secret? Even a 'small' one? Sinning is one thing, but practicing sin is another. In writing this book, I tackled a subject very few in ministry ever go near: The seventy-one words of Jesus found in Matthew 7:21-23. These troubling words paint a sometimes frightening picture of who these people really are. I Never Knew You is a must read for anyone who claims Jesus Christ as their Savior, because in the end it doesn't matter if you know Jesus Christ, only that He knows you. The book became an instant best-seller, used in hundreds of churches utilizing the study guide included in the book.

I suppose most of them are dead now, but who knows?
As a senior pastor and keynote speaker at The SBC Pastor's Conference, to founding The American Training Association
in Los Angeles in the 80s, to the current century where I was the host for the top-rated radio talk show "At Issue with Rick Baker"
in North Carolina, Colorado and California, I have always been most comfortable front-and-center trying to encourage everyone to be the
best they can be. As a result, I have presented to over half a million people in 40 years. I know, crazy, huh?
